Exam Pattern
Computer-based testing across two Stages, with subject groups for every class band.
Computer-based exam
- Stage 1 is conducted online.
- For Stage 2, students visit an HKCL Authorised Learning Centre (ALC).
- Exams run on HKCL’s AI-empowered Online Examination System with a web camera.
Two Stages
- Stage 1: 60 MCQs · 40 minutes · Hindi & English
- Stage 2: 60 MCQs · 40 minutes · Hindi & English (at ALC)
About the question paper
- For each standard, students solve a single question paper covering all subjects for their group.
- All questions carry equal marks regardless of difficulty level and educational objectives.
- Educational objectives follow Bloom’s taxonomy: Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation.
- Students may skip questions and return later within the exam duration.
- Students may end the exam early; it also ends automatically when time is up.
