Awards & Winner Selection Criteria

To ensure a fair, transparent, and merit-based selection process, HTSE 2026 follows the criteria below:

  • Minimum 60% in Stage 2: A candidate must secure at least 60% marks in the Stage 2 examination to be eligible for consideration for State-level or District-level awards.
  • State-level winners are not considered for District-level awards, ensuring wider recognition among deserving candidates.
  • One student is eligible for only one prize under the HTSE 2026 award structure.
  • A consolidated merit list is prepared across all mediums, and winners are selected from this common merit list.
  • Winner selection is based on overall performance, including marks obtained, questions solved, subject-wise accuracy, difficulty level, and the prescribed qualifying criteria.
  • In case of a tie, the winner will be determined according to the predefined tie-breaker rules specified in the official HTSE 2026 Notification.
Important: The eligibility and award selection process is governed by the official HTSE 2026 Notification. Students, parents, and schools are advised to refer to the notification for complete and authoritative details.
